Dues and debt
Keep debts from getting mixed up in rented apartments
Who each due is charged to is on record. Owner and tenant see the same debt, and also see who paid it.
Available on the web, Android and iOS apps.
Problem
The tenant moved out, who owes?
A tenant moves out, the owner changes, and debt from earlier months remains. If it is not written down who is responsible for which period, the dispute drags on and collection is delayed.
How does it work?
- 1
Define the apartment and its occupant
You add each apartment’s owner and, if there is one, its tenant.
- 2
Dues are issued with the responsible party
The moment a due is created, who it is charged to is recorded. Even if the apartment later changes hands, this information does not change.
- 3
Both sides can see
In a rented apartment, both owner and tenant see the debt in the app and can pay it. Once paid, who paid is visible to both.
What can you do?
On behalf of owner / tenant label
On every debt item, who it is charged to is clearly visible.
Old debt stays with the former owner
When an apartment is sold, the previous period’s debt is not charged to the new owner; it stays on its own line in the account statement.
Owners follow their apartments
Owners see whether their apartments are rented, owner-occupied or vacant, and who the current tenant is.
Reporting a tenant change
The owner reports the new tenant’s name, phone and move-in date to the manager from the app; the manager completes the record.
Frequently asked questions
Who pays the dues, the owner or the tenant?
In a rented apartment, both can see and both can pay. Who the debt is charged to and who paid it stay on record.
What happens to old debts when an apartment is sold?
The previous period’s debt stays in the name of the owner it was charged to. The new owner is charged only for their own period.
Can I track rent payments too?
No. This feature is for building dues and expenses; it does not track rental contracts or rent collection.
